Friday the 17th November, the first evening of Foreplay in foodculture days will be hosted by Agora Collective., the collective of visual artist Renata Har, chef and artist Caique Tizzi and choreographer and performer Marcela Donato.

Paradies takes the performative elements of a dining situation and uses it as its play acts. Part an installation, part a performance, Paradies is a dinner that collects food, sound experiments, declamations and allegorical acts that explore our relations with pleasure, utopia and beauty. Paradies is an invitation to re-invent the rituals of dining and its rules.

Paradies invites the audience to navigate within an immersive four-course dinner. One of the courses alludes to a recently formed desert, a landscape that has recently gone dried and expels a drinkable black liquid. In another, the urban landscape has become a tumultuous place where the vision is censored and the rationality of our brain is occupied by a never-ending stimulation. Secret, holy and ethereal spaces welcome the guests to seek for an imaginative corner in their palate where our inner paradises can potentially occur.

„Agora“ is the collective of the eponymous multidisciplinary artistic space in Berlin. In Portuguese, Agora means "now".

Although it is mainly made up of three artists, Marcela Donato, Renata Har and Caique Tizzi, an essential part of the collective's approach is to invite new local speakers over the projects presented.

The group began its activities in 2011 in a first space and collaborated with many artists from all backgrounds and origins. Agora Collective has participated in group and solo exhibitions at the Freies Museum, L’Atelier KSR, Saalbau Galerie, Instituto Cervantes in Berlin and the National Gallery in Leeuwarden (Netherlands). The collective has also developed residencies and professional artistic development programs, always as part of the collaboration. Since 2015, Agora Collective has been part of the international cultural network CAPP or Collaborative Arts Practices Program, supported by Creative Europe and has as partners the TATE (Liverpool), the Ludwig Museum (Budapest), the Heart of Glass collective (St. Helens, UK ), the Live Art Development Agency (London), the Kunsthalle Osnabrück (Germany), the Hablarenarte (Madrid) and the artistic agency Create (Dublin).
