Laying down comfortably on a hotel rooms’ bed, you will discover a selection of short and feature films from worldwide directors. Each movie broaches on various social inquiries: the power of advertisement with the following disasters and social inequalities, but also philosophical conversations with a parrot about the puritanism of contemporary sexuality, a workers’ life or poverty seen by those who suffer the most from it: children. credit photo: Marie Capesius
Created by four movie lovers in 2016, the roving “Ciné-club au Beurre” (the butter film-club) endeavours to democratise little known movies by broadcasting them to a “not necessarily” expert audience. They emphasise on rotating between animation and live-action movies, as well as opening their movie selection outside of the western world. As much as possible, spectators are greeted by dishes with, or without, butter.
