FOOD COLOUR PAVILLION

NINA GAUTIER

The Food Colour Pavillion is a vivid atmospheric installation dedicated to one very basic food ingredient: the onion and its inherent colour quality. The rhythmic space consists of hand dyed silk fabric pannels colored with food left overs.

The onion skins collected from restaurant waste create a deeply shining golden color and are given a second purpose. Showcasing the process of natural dyeing in order to encorporate this magical colour transformation in an ever enhancing colour gradient.

This duality of the culinary and simultaneous colour aspect in every vegetable is unified in the experience of the FOOD COLOUR PAVILION and embodies food for the soul. The artist will be present Saturday at 19h to propose an onion tasting experience.
