Performance, Meal, performance, history, resources
foodculture days invites the artist Caique Tizzi (BR) to prepare a dinner as a performative act. The evening takes place in the gardens of the Jenisch Museum in Vevey.
Tabula Rasa stages a performance in five acts and a feast in five dishes. The public witness in real time the composition of an absurd edible landscape, of a surrealism proper to our time, both painting-living and still-life, portrait of a world divided between abundance and lack of resources.
The irony, humor and symbolism of the ingredients transform the table into a space for reflection and interaction around the notions of national identity, migration and food policies. In an era when it is easy to adopt a dystopian vision of our future, Tabula Rasa aims to explore our ingenuity in the face of the depletion of natural resources and tends to reflect on the means of collaborating creatively in order to find innovative solutions.
