In thinking of a recipe as a form of culinary remix, Chopped & Chewed situates two recipes learnt from family tradition in an ambient soundscape composed of field recordings from farms and kitchens. The recordings of the recipes, elongated to a point in which they become a form of narrative, propose cooking as a form of storytelling. Mixing dishes of Belgian and Mexican origin, Chopped & Chewed explores a personal culinary history, implementing sound as an ingredient.
